Northern California’s newest casino is just two weeks away from opening its doors. The company is still hiring some positions, but so far casino executives say the project has created more than full-time 400 jobs in addition to construction crews, 80% of which have gone to local people. The Ione city property will open to the public on April 29, and an opening celebration event is planned during the weekend of May 17.
